HomeMy WebLinkAbout67-102 - Intention to Vacate - Portion Block 3, Cummings & Moons AdditionRESOLUTION NO. 67-102 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO ORDER THE VACATION OF A PORTION OF BLOCK 3 OF CUNRdINGS AND MOON'S ADDITION TO FAIRVIEW IN THE CITY OF COSTA MESA. The City Council of the City of Costa Mesa does hereby resolve as follows: SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Costa Mesa does hereby declare its intention to vacate that certain right of way described as follows: That portion of Block 3 of Cummings and Moon's Addition to Fairview in the City of Costa Mesa, County of Orange, State of California, as per map recorded in Rook 26, page 2 of Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles County, California, together with that portion of White Oak Avenue adjoining said block, as shown on said map and as vacated by order of the Hoard of Supervisors of Orange County, California, a certified copy of which was recorded June 20, 1942, in Book 1135, page 566 of Official Records, more particularly described as follows: Beginning at the intersection of the westerly line of Parcel "A" as per map filed in Book 37, page 3 of Records of Surveys in the office of the County Recorder of Orange County, California, with a line parallel with and distant southerly, 30.00 feet from the center line of Warehouse Avenue, as shown on said Record of Survey map; thence South 00 05' 40" West along said westerly line of Parcel "A," 136.30 feet to the true point of beginning, said point of beginning being an angle point therein; thence North 890 54' 20" West, 10.00 feet to a line parallel with and distant easterly, 65.00 feet from the center line of Harbor Boulevard, as shown on said Record of Survey map; thence North 00 05' 40" East along said parallel line 116.33 feet, to the beginning of a tangent curve, concave southeasterly having a radius of 20.00 feet; thence con- tinuing along said curve through an arc distance of 20.94 feet through a central angle of 600 00' 00" to a point on a line, a radial bearing to said point bears North 290 54" 20" West; said line is parallel with and distant easterly 75.00 feet from the center line of Harbor Boule- vard; thence continuing along said parallel line South 00 05' 40" West 130.96 feet to the true point of beginning. SECTION 2. Monday, the 2nd day of October, 1967, at the hour of 7:30 o'clock, p.m., in the Council Chamber at the City Hall, 77 Fair Drive, Costa Mesa, California, is hereby fixed as the time and place for hearing all per- sons interested in or objecting to the proposed vacation. SECTION 3• These proceedings shall be conducted pursuant to the provi- sions of Chapter III, Part 3, Division 9 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California. SECTION 4. The City Manager of the City of Costa Mesa is hereby directed to cause notices of the said proposed vacation to be conspicuously posted along said strip of land for at least ten (10) days before the date of said hearing. Said notices shall be posted not more than three hundred (300) feet apart, but in no event shall less than three (3) notices be posted. SECTION 5• This Resolution shall be published once in the ORANGE COAST DAILY PILOT, a newspaper of general circulation printed and published in the City of Costa Mesa, Orange County, California.
