HomeMy WebLinkAbout68-22 - Demolay Week - March 18 through March 23, 1968RESOLUTION N0. 68-22 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA PROCLAIMING THE WEEK OF MARCH 18 THROUGH MARCH 23, 1968, AS D910LAY WEEK IN THE CITY OF COSTA MESA. WHEREAS, the Order of DeMolay has distinguished itself through the years since its organization, as deeply interested in and actively participating in civic affairs; and WHEREAS, it is the policy of this Council to encourage our young people to consider the problems of local government and familiarize themselves with its procedures; and WHEREAS, during the week that is to come, members of the Order of DeMolay will take over various offices in City government and learn first hand the manner in which our City operates; and WHEREAS, this Council deems it to be in the best interest of the City that the interest of these young people should be commended and recognized; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa that members of the Order of DeMolay be, and the same are hereby, com- mended for their participation in civic affairs, and the week of March 18 through March 23, 1968, is hereby designated, declared, and proclaimed, DEMOLAY WEEK in the City of Costa Mesa.
