Home My WebLink About68-55 - Weed Abatement - Confirming ReportREsolmoN No. 68-55 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF TRE CITY OF COSTA MESA APPROVING AND CONFIRMING THE REPORT OF THE STREET SUPERINTENDENT SHOWING THE COST OF REMOVING THE WEEDS, RUBBISH, REFUSE OR DIRT ON OR IN FRONT OF EACH SEPARATE PARCEL OF LAND IN THE CITY OF COSTA MESA. WHEREAS, the Street Superintendent of the City of Costa Mesa did render an itemized, written report to the City Council for confirmation, showing the cost of removing the weeds, rubbish, refuse or dirt on or in front of each separate lot or parcel of ]and in said City; and WHEREAS, said Street Superintendent did, prior to submitting said report to said City Council, post a copy of said report for a least three days on the bulletin board at the City Hall with a notice of the time when the report would be submitted to the City Council for confirmation; and WHEREAS, the time fixed for receiving and considering the report by the City Council was set for August 5, 1968, at the hour of 7:30 o'clock, p.m.; and WHEREAS, the City Council did, on the 5th day of August, 1968, at 7:30 o'clock p.m., at its regular Council meeting, receive said report; and WHEREAS, no objections were received from property owners liable to be assessed for the work of assessment; NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa does hereby approve and confirm said report of the Superintendent of Streets of the City of Costa Mesa as rendered, and does hereby declare that the amounts of the cost for the abatement of the nuisance on or in front of the various parcels of land mentioned in the report as confirmed shall constitute special assessments against the respective parcels of land and are a lien on the property for the amount of the respective assessments.
