HomeMy WebLinkAbout68-75 - Street Name Change - Harla AvenueRESOLUTION NO. 68-75 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA CHANGING THE NAME OF ORANGE STREET, RUNNING SOUTH FROM MESA VERDE DRIVE EAST TO THE STATE HOSPITAL PROPERTY LINE, TO "HARIA AVENUE." WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Costa Mesa has recommended to this City Council that the name of Orange Street, south of Mesa Verde Drive East and approximately 800.54 feet westerly of the center line of Harbor Boule- vard, be changed to "HARLA AVENUE"; and WHEREAS, the street name change would eliminate confusion with the existing Orange Avenue in the City of Costa Mesa; and WHEREAS, this City Council deems it to be in the best interest of the City that said street name be changed as recommended by the Planning Commission; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa that the name of Orange Street, running south from Mesa Verde Drive east to the north property line of the State Hospital, and approximately 800.54 feet westerly of the center line of Harbor Boulevard, be and the same is hereby changed to "HARIA AVENUE"; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a certified copy of this Resolution be trans- mitted to the Board of Supervisors of the County of Orange.
