HomeMy WebLinkAbout68-85 - Intention to Vacate - Portion of Huntzinger Avenuefollows: RESOLUTION NO. 68-85 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO ORDER THE VACATION OF A CER^_AIN PORTION OF HUNTLINGER AVENUE, BEING THE UNIMPROVED LINK BETWEEN SUNFLOWER AVENUE IN COSTA MESA AND ELLIS AVENUE IN FOUNTAIN VALLEY. The City Council of the City of Costa Mesa does hereby resolve as SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Costa Mesa does hereby declare its intention to vacate that certain portion of Huntzinger Avenue described as follows: That portion of Huntzinger Avenue, being tee unimproved link between Sunflower Avenue in Costa Mesa and Ellis Avenue in Fountain Valley, more particularly described as follows: A portion of that certa-n casementcreated by instrument recorded June 9, 1904 in Book. 103, Page 378 of Deeds in the office of the County Recorder of Orange County, said portion bounded westerly by the southeasterly line of Parcel 1 in Deed to the Southern California Edison Company recorded July 24, 1956 in Book 3588, Page 491 of said official records, and bommded northeasterly by the southwesterly line of the land described in deed to the State of California, recorded September 14, 1962, in Book 6248, Page 587 of said official records. SECTION 2. Monday, the o'th day of January, 1969, at the hour of 7:30 o'clock p.m., in the Council Chamber at the Cray Hall, 77 Fair Drive, Costa More, California, is hereby fined as the tame and place for hearing all persons interested in or objecting to the proposed vacation. SECTION 3• These proceedings shall be conducted pursuant to the Provisions of Chapter III, Part 3, Division 9 of tc Streets and Highways Code of the State of California. SECTION 4. The City Manager of the City of Costa Mesa is hereby directed to cause notices of the said proposed vacation to be conspicuously posted along said strip of land for at least ten (10) days before the date of said hearing. Said notice shall be posted not more titan three (300) feet apart, but in no event shall less than three (3) notices be posted. SECTION 5• This Resolution shall be published once in the ORANGE COAST DAILY PILOT, a newspaper of general circulation prSntod and published in the City of Costa Mesa, Orange County, California.
