HomeMy WebLinkAbout68-80 - Intention to Sell - Harbor at Gisler PropertyRESOLUTION NO. 68-8o A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA, CALIFORNIA, RELA^lING TO THE SALE OF CITY PROPERTY, INDICA- TING THE INTENTION OF THE CITY TO SELL OR =ADE SAID PRO- PERTY, SETTING A TIME FOR PUBLIC HEARING AND PROVIDING FOR THE POSTING AND PUBLICATION OF SAME. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA, CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: THAT WHEREAS, the City now owns in fee title that certain parcel of property within the City of Costa Mesa as described in Exhibit"A" attached hereto and by this specific reference, made a part hereof; and WHEREAS, the City proposes to sell or trade said property and in the event of a trade the same is -to be traded to Southern California College for a parcel of land approximately ten acres in size immediately to the west of the site of the present City Hall on Fair Drive; and WHEREAS, the City finds and declares its intention to proceed under and by virtue of Title 4, Division 3, Chapter 5, Article 3, Section 37420, et seq. of the Government Code for the sale of said site. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that there is hereby fixed -the time of 7:30 p.m., December 2, 1968, in the Council Chambers at 77 Fair Drive in -the City of Costa Mesa, at a regular meeting of the City Council as the time and place for hearing of protests relating to said sale or trade. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be and is hereby instructed to publish a copy of this resolution in the Orange Coast Daily Pilot at least one time prior to the time of said hearing; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be and is hereby instructed to post said property in three conspicuous places upon the parcel to be sold or traded at least ten days prior to December 2, 1968. BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the City Council will then and. there at the aforesaid time and place act upon the sale or trade as set forth in this resolution.
