A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA
MESA PROHIBITING PARKING AT ALL TIMES ON PORTIONS OF
WEST 19TH STREET AND BAKER STREET, ESTABLISHING 24 -
MINUTE PARKING ON A PORTION OF WEST 19TH STREET, AND
ESTABLISHING ONE-HOUR PARKING ON PORTIONS OF CERTAIN
STREETS WITHIN THE CITY.
WHEREAS, the Traffic Commission of the City of Costa Mesa has recommended
to this Council that parking of vehicles should be prohibited at all times
on West 19th Street between Newport Boulevard and Placentia Avenue, end on
the southerly side of Baker Street from 300 feet westerly of Century Place
to 300 feet easterly of Randolph Street; and
WHEREAS, the Traffic Commission has further recommended that one-hour
parking restrictions should be established on specified portions of Hanover
Drive, Century Place and Pomona Avenue; and
WHEREAS, this Council deems it to be in the best interest of the City
that the following parking prohibitions and restrictions be established;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of
Costa Mesa, as follows:
SECTION 1. Pursuant to the provisions of Section 3410.3 (d) of the
Municipal Code of the City of Costa Mesa parking is hereby prohibited at
all times in the following described areas:
On both sides of West 19th Street from Newport Boulevard to
Placentia Avenue, with the exception of a distance of 175.00 feet easterly
from Pomona Avenue on the north side of West 19th Street.
On the south side of Baker Street from a point 300.00 feet west of
Century Place to a point 300 feet east of Randolph Street.
SECTION 2. Pursuant to the provisions of Section 3411.1 of the
Municipal Code of the City of Costa Mesa no vehicle shall stand or
park for more than one hour during the prescribed times in the
following described areas:
On Hanover Drive between Fairview Road and Columbia Drive Mondays
Through Fridays between the hours of 8:00 A.M. and 4:00 P.M.
On Century Place from Baker Street to a point 200 feet southerly
thereof, between the hours of 7:00 A.M. and 6:00 P.M.
On Pomona Avenue from West 19th Street to a point 100 feet northerly
thereof, between the hours of 7:00 A.M. and 6:00 P.M.
Section 3• Pursuant to the provisions of Section 3411.0 of the
Municipal Code of the City of Costa Mesa no vehicle shall stand
or park for more then 24 minutes between the hours of 7:00 A.M. and
6:00 P.M. on any day except Sundays and holidays in the following
described area:
On the north side of West 19th Street for a distance of 175 feet easterly
of Pomona Avenue.
