HomeMy WebLinkAbout69-39 - Wage Rates for Trades - Ascertaining Prevailing RatesRESOLUTION 69-39 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA ASCERTAINING AND DETERMINING THE PREVAILING RATES OF WAGES TO BE PAID FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF PUBLIC WORKS AND IMPROVE- MENTS IN THE CITY OF COSTAMESA as of May 1, 1969, unless otherwise noted: i WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa did, on the 16th day of December, 1968 adopt its Resolution 68-86 fixing and determining the general prevailing rate of hourly wages far the con- struction and performance of public works in said City; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa, acting as the supervising authority of the Costa Mesa Recreation and Park District, thereby is the designated agency for adopting wage scales for the performance of public works for said District; and WHEREAS, the City of Costa Mesa, by Joint Powers Agreement, has the management control of the operations of the Costa Mesa Sanitary District, and thereby is the designated agency for adopting wage scales for the performance of public works for said District; and WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Section 1773 of the Labor Code of the State of California, it is necessary that the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa ascertain and determine the general pre- vailing rates of wages on public works; and the provisions of said Code make it mandatory upon the awarding body of any public contract, where said body subsequently calls forbids for any public improvements, to ascertain and determine the general prevailing rates of hourly wages in the locality in which the work is to be performed for each craft or type of work needed to execute the contract and the general pre- vailing rates for legal holiday and overtime work in each craft or type of work; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa that the general prevailing rates of hourly wages in the City of Costa Mesa for each craft or type of work needed to execute contracts and the general prevailing rate of legal holiday and over- time work for each craft or type of work are as follows, effective as of May 1, 1969, unless otherwise noted: i LEGAL NOTICE LEGAL NOTICE LEGAL NOTICE LEGAL NOTICE RESOLUTION NO. 69.39 GROUP 2 .............. ........................
