A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA
PROHIBITING PARKING AT ALL TIMES ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF EAST
SEVENTEENTH STREET BETWEEN TUSTIN AND IRVINE AVENUES AND THE
EXTENSION OF THE NO PARKING ZONE ON EAST SEVENTEENTH STREET
WEST OF TUSTIN AVENUE; AND PROHIBITING PARKING AT ALL TIMES
ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF SUNFLOWER AVENUE, BETWEEN HARBOR BOULEVARD
AND FAIRVIEW ROAD
WHEREAS, the Traffic Commission of the City of Costa Mesa has
recommended to this City Council that parking be prohibited at all
times on the south side of East Seventeenth Street from Tustin Avenue
to Irvine Avenue and on both sides of East 17th Street west of Tustin
Avenue from the existing no parking limit to Tustin Avenue; and that
parking be prohibited at all times on the south side of Sunflower Avenue,
between Harbor Boulevard and Fairview Road; and
WHEREAS, Section 3410.3 (d) of the Municipal Code of the City of
Costa Mesa provides for the designation of no -parking areas by resolution
of the City Council; and
WHEREAS, this Council deems it to be in the best interest of the
City that said parking restriction be established.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of
Costa Mesa, as follows:
SECTION 1. That parking be, and the same is hereby prohibited at
all times on the south side of East Seventeenth Street from Tustin
Avenue to Irvine Avenue and on both sides of East 17th Street west
of Tustin Avenue from the existing no parking limit to Tustin Avenue;
SECTION 2. That parking be, and the same is hereby prohibited at all
times on the south side of Sunflower Avenue, between Harbor Boulevard
and Fairview Road.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 2nd day of September, 1969.
