HomeMy WebLinkAbout69-75 - Portions of Newhope Road & Huntzinger Avenue - Intent to VacateRESOLUTION NO. 69-75 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO ORDER THE VACATION OF CERTAIN PORTIONS OF NEWHOPE ROAD AND HUNTZINGER AVENUE LYING NORTH OF THE SAN DIEGO FREEWAY BETWEEN HARBOR BOULEVARD AND THE SANTA ANA RIVER. The City Council of the City of Costa Mesa does hereby resolve as 1 follows: J SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Costa Mesa does hereby declare its intention to vacate those certain portions of Newhope Road and Huntzinger Avenue described as follows: PARCEL A: That portion of that certain public highway shown as Newhope Road in Tract 766 recorded in Book 22, page 43 of Miscellaneous Maps, records of Orange County, California. PARCEL B: That portion of that certain public highway known as Newhope Road, shown as a 30.00 foot dedication in Williams Tract recorded in Book 3, page 115, records of Los Angeles County. PARCEL C That portion of thato=_rtain public highway shown as an easement for street and highway purposes, said portion being located at the southeasterly corner of land owned by Arthur J. Gisler, also designated as Assessor's Parcel No. 139-021-33 as of March, 1969. PARCEL D: Only that portion of Huntzinger Avenue running in a southwesterly direction from the East and West alignment of Huntzinger Avenue to the San Diego Freeway which portion is not included in an alignment map in the office of the Director of Public Works in the City of Costa Mesa, California. SECTION 2. Monday, the 1st day of December, 1969, at the hour of 7:30 o'clock P.M., in the Council Chamber at the City Hall, 77 Fair Drive, Costa Mesa, California is hereby fixed as the time and the place for hearing all persons interested in or objecting to the proposed vacations. SECTION 3. These proceedings shall be conducted pursuant to the provisions of Chapter III, Part 3, Division 9 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California. SECTIONZ6 The City Manager of the City of Cssta Mesa is hereby directed to cause notices of the said proposed vacations to be conspicuously posted along said strips of land for at least ten (10) days before the date of said hearing. Said notices shall be posted not more than three hundred (300) feet apart, but in no event shall less than three (3) notices be posted. Jul z SECTION 5. This Resolution shall be published once in the ORANGE COAST DAILY PILOT, a newspaper of general circulation printed and published in the City of Costa Mesa, Orange County, California.
