HomeMy WebLinkAbout72-30 - Permanent Closure of Joann Street at Placentia Avenue4.12 RESOLUTION NO. 72-30 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA, CALIFORNIA, FINDING THAT PUBLIC SAFETY REQUIRES THE PERMANENT CLOSURE OF JOANN STREET AT PLACENTIA AVENUE. WHEREAS, a ninety -day temporary closure of Joann Street at Placentia Avenue has proved beneficial by eliminating the safety hazard on the north- west corner of Joann Street caused by a building which causes vision obstruction compounded by the curvature of the street; and WHEREAS, the Traffic Commission of the City of Costa Mesa, at their regular meeting of March 22, 1972, after considering the desires and the safety of the citizens of the immediate area, have recommended that Joann Street, west of Placentia Avenue, be permanently closed; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa, finds and determines that the public safety, health, and welfare will be protected by the permanent closure of Joann Street at Placentia Avenue, and by the adoption of this resolution, it is so ordered.
