Home My WebLink About70-60 - Application to LAFC for Marina View Annexation to Park & Recreation Districtu RESOLUTION NO. 70-60 A RESOLUTION OF APPLICATION BY THE CITY OF COSTA MESA ACTING AS THE EX -OFFICIO BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE COSTA MESA PARK AND RECREATION DISTRICT, ORANGE COUNTY, CALIFORNIA, TO THE LOCAL AGENCY FORMATION COMMISSION FOR THE ANNEXATION OF TERRITORY, KNOWN AS MARINA VIEW ANNEXATION. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA ACTING AS THE EX -OFFICIO BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE COSTA MESA PARK AND RECREATION DISTRICT, ORANGE COUNTY, CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: (a) That the Local Agency Formation Commission did on the 26th day of June, 1970, present the legal description of the proposed annexation, Marina View Annexation, to the County Surveyor for checking and the same having been found reasonably definite and certain; and (b) The City Council of the City of Costa Mesa acting as the ex -officio Board of Directors of the Costa Mesa Park and Recreation District does hereby find and determine: 1. That the property proposed to be annexed to the Costa Mesa Park and Recreation District is inhabited, is contiguous to the boundaries of the City of Costa Mesa. 2. That the territory to be annexed is designated as Marina View Annexation and the legal description of the property is attached hereto marked Exhibit "A" and by this specific reference made a part hereof. 3. That the reason for the proposed annexation is that the territory is ready for development and that park and recreation services are necessary for the protection of health, safety and welfare of the citizens of said territory and that the Costa Mesa Park and Recreation District is the agency most feasible to provide said facilities to said area. 4. That there are no special terms or conditions to the proposed annexation. 5. That attached hereto and made a part of this resolution as Exhibit "B" is a map of the territory proposed to be annexed. 6. That all notices with respect to hearings should be mailed to the following persons: Fred Sorsabal, Acting City Manager, City Hall, 77 Fair Drive, Costa Mesa, California. Roy E.
