RESOLUTION NO. 70-64
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA,
CALIFORNIA, INCLUDING ANNEXATION IN THE TAX LEVY FOR THE
1970-1971 FISCAL YEAR FOR THE COSTA MESA STREET LIGHTING
DISTRICT.
The City Council of the City of Costa Mesa does hereby resolve and
determine that the hereinafter described territories, known and designated y
as Whittier Heights Annexation, Sewell Annexation, and Williams J
Annexation to the City of Costa Mesa, shall be included in the tax levy
for the fiscal year 1970-1971 for the Costa Mesa Street Lighting District
said properties being designated as follows:
1. Exhibit "A", legal description, Whittier Heights Annexation.
2. Exhibit "B", map, Whittier Heights Annexation.
3. Exhibit "C", legal description, Sewell Annexation.
4. Exhibit "D", map, Sewell Annexation.
5. Exhibit "E", legal description, Williams Annexation.
6. Exhibit "F", map, Williams Annexation.
All attached hereto and made a part hereof.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 29th day of June, 1970.

WHITTZER HEIGHTS ANNEXATION EXHIBIT "A"
TO THE CITY OF COSTA MESA
Beginning, at a point in the existing boundary of the City of Costa
Mesa, as said boundary is described in Mesa No, 2 Annexation to the City
Of Costa Mesa, adopted December 3, 1956, Ordinance No. 149, said point
being a point in the northerly boundary of said Mesa No, 2 Annexation,
said point being distant South 00 18' Blest, 330.00 feet from the center
line of 19th Street, said point also being, the southeasterly corner of
Lot 1201, First Addition to Newport Mesa Tract, as shown on a map thereof,
recorded in book 8, page 61 of Miscellaneous Maps, records of Orange
County, California; thence South 890 42' West, along said existing, boundary
and the southerly line of Lot 1201, 630,00 feet, to the southwesterly
e corner of said Lot 1201; thence North 00 18' East, along said existing,
L■ boundary and the westerly line of said Lot 1201, 300.00 feet to the southerly
line of 19th Street, as shown on said map of First Addition to Newport Mesa
Tract; thence South 890 42' West, along said southerly line of 19th Street
and said existing boundary, 270.44 feet to the northwesterly corner of
Lot 1301 of said First Addition to Newport Mesa Tract, said northwesterly
corner being a point in the existing, boundary of the City of Newport Beach;
thence North 190 16' East, departing from said existing boundary of the
City of Costa Mesa, along the northwesterly line of said First Addition to
Newport Mesa Tract, 31.72 feet to a point in the northerly line of said
First Addition to Newport Mesa Tract; thence North 890 42' East, along said
northerly line, 590,13 feet; thence North 00 18' East, 30,00 feet to a point
in the existing boundary of the City of Costa Mesa, as described in Republic
No. 1 Annexation to said City, adopted March 15, 1954, Ordinance No. 38, said
point being in a line, parallel with and 30,00 feet northerly, measured at
right angles, of the northerly line of said First Addition to Newport Mesa
Tract; thence North 890 42' East, along, said parallel line and said existing
boundary, 330,00 feet to its intersection with the northerly prolongation
of the center line of Whittier Avenue as shown on said map of First Addition
to Newport Mesa Tract; thence South 0" 18' West, along said existing boundary
said prolongation, and said center line of Whittier Avenue, 60,00 feet to

to said City, adopted ,Tune 4, 1956, Ordinance No. 129; thence South 890
42' West, along said existing boundary and said parallel line, 30.00 feet
to a point in the northerly prolongation of the westerly line of said
Whittier Avenue; thence South 00 18' West, along said northerly prolongation
said westerly line of Whittier Avenue, and said existing boundary of the
City of Costa Mesa, 300.00 feet to the point of beginning.

Sewell Annexation to the City of Costa Mesa

All that certain land situated in the State of California, County of
Orange, described as followat
Being a portion of Lot 226 of Newport Heights, as shown on a Map
thereof, Recorded in Book 4, page 83 of Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Orange
County, California, more particularly described as follows:
BEGINNING at the centerline intersection of Tustin Avenue and Twentieth
Street, as shown on said map of Newport Heights; thence along said centerline of
Tustin Avenue, North 400 East, 330.15 feet to the Southeasterly prolongation of -
the Southwesterly line of said Lot 226; thence along said Southeasterly prolonga-
tion, North 500 West, 30.00 feet to the most Southerly corner of said Lot 226,
said point being also in the Northwesterly line of said Tustin Avenue, and said
point being also in the existing boundary line of the city of Costa Mesa, as
described in the Underwood Annexation to sold city of Costa Mesa, adopted
July 17, 195 6, by Ordinance No. 205, and said point being also the True Point
of Berinning of this description; thence along the Southwesterly line of said
Lot 226, North 500 West, 315.00 feet to a line parallel with and distant 315.00
feet, as measured at right angles, from said Northwesterly right-of-way line of
Tustin Avenue; thence along sold parallel line, North 400 East, 132.15 feet to a

WILLIAMS ANNEXATION
TO THE CITY OF COSTA MESA
A portion of Lot 91, Tract No. 653, in the County of Orange, State
of California, as per map recorded in book 19, page 42 of Miscellaneous
Maps, in the office of the county recorder of said county, more
particularly described as follows:
Beginning at an angle point in the existing boundary of the City _
of Costa Mesa as said boundary is described in Republic No. 2 Annexation
to said City, Ordinance No. 43, adopted April 26, 1954, said angle point
being the intersection of the center line of Canyon Drive, 60 feet in
width, with the center line of Victoria Street, 60 feet in width, as
said intersection is shown on said Tract No. 653; thence South 0° 32'
00" East, along said existing boundary and said center line of Canyon
Drive, 30.00 feet to the southerly line of said Victoria Street; thence,
South 89" 28' 00" West, along said southerly line and the existing boundary
of the City of Costa Mesa as described in Victoria Street Annexation to
said City, Ordinance 65-34, adopted October 4, 1965, a distance of
204.46 feet; thence departing from said existing boundary North 00 32'
00" West, 215.69 feet to the northerly line of said Lot 91, said northerly
line being the northwesterly prolongation of a radial line of a curve,
concave southeasterly, having a radius of 797.44 feet; thence South 80-
021 00" East, along said northerly line and said northwesterly prolongation
221.52 feet to a point on said curve, said curve being the center line
of said Canyon Drive; thence southerly along said center line and said
curve through a central angle of 100 30' 00", an arc distance of 146.14
feet to the Point of Beginning.
