HomeMy WebLinkAbout70-68 - Parking Prohibition - Placentia Avenue, Hamilton Street, Pomona Avenue114 RESOLUTION NO. 70-68 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA, CALIFORNIA, PROHIBITING PARKING ON PLACENTIA AVENUE; HAMILTON STREET; AND POMONA AVENUE AS PROVIDED FOR IN SECTION 3410.3 (D) OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE. WHEREAS, the Traffic Commission of the City of Costa Mesa has recommended to this City Council that the following changes be made on the streets of the City of Costa Mesa: (a) Parking prohibition on both sides of Placentia Avenue from 100 feet north of Joann Street to Victoria Street from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., except Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays; (b) Parking prohibition at all times on the southerly curb of Hamilton Street 150 feet west of Harbor Boulevard; (c) Parking prohibition at all times on the easterly curb of Pomona Avenue between 19th Street and Plumer Street; and WHEREAS, Section 3410.3 (D) of the Municipal Code of the City of Costa Mesa provides for the designation of no -parking areas by resolution of the City Council; and WHEREAS, this Council deems it to be in the best interest of the City that said parking restrictions be established; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa, that parking be, and the same is hereby, prohibited on both sides of Placentia Avenue from 100 feet north of Joann Street to Victoria Street from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., except Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays; parking is prohibited at all times on the southerly curb of Hamilton Street 150 feet west of Harbor Boulevard; and parking is prohibited at all times on the easterly curb of Pomona Avenue between 19th Street and Plumer Street.
