HomeMy WebLinkAbout70-83 - Intention and Setting Hearing to Vacate Northeast Corner Harbor & Baker140 RESOLUTION NO. 70-83 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA, CALIFORNIA, DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO ORDER THE VACATION OF A SEVEN -FOOT RIGHT OF WAY AT THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF HARBOR BOULEVARD AND BAKER STREET. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Costa Mesa does hereby declare its intention to vacate those certain rights of way for street purposes described as follows: A portion of Lot 35 of Fairview Tract as shown on a map thereof recorded in Book 4, page 93, Miscellaneous Maps, records of Los Angeles County, California, described as: Commencing at the intersection of the centerline of Baker Street 100.00 feet wide with a line lying parallel with and 60.00 feet Easterly from the centerline of Harbor Boulevard; thence in a Northerly direction along said line a distance of 200.00 feet to the true point of beginning; thence Easterly parallel with the centerline of Baker Street a distance of 7.00 feet; thence Southerly along a line parallel with the centerline of Harbor Boulevard a distance of 137.00 feet; thence Northwesterly along a line a distance of 9.90 feet to a point on a line lying 60.00 feet Easterly of and parallel to the centerline of Harbor Boule- vard; thence along said line Northerly to the true point of beginning. Reference is hereby made to a map on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Costa Mesa for a more full and particular description. SECTION 2. Monday, the 5th day of October, 1970, at the hour of 7:30 p.m., in the Council Chamber at the Costa Mesa City Hall, 77 Fair Drive, Costa Mesa, California, is hereby fixed as the time and place for hearing all persons interested in or objecting to the proposed vacation. SECTION 3. The City Manager of the City of Costa Mesa is hereby directed to cause notices of the said proposed vacation to be conspicuously posted along said strip of land for at least ten (10) days before the date of said hearing. Said notices shall be posted not more than three hundred (300) feet apart, but in no event shall less than three (3) notices be posted. SECTION 4. This resolution shall be published once in the Orange Coast Daily Pilot, a newspaper of general circulation printed in the City of Costa Mesa, County of Orange, State of California.
