RESOLUTION NO. 70-93
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA,
CALIFORNIA, INCLUDING CORRIDOR NO. 1 ANNEXATION IN THE TAX
LEVY FOR THE 1971-1972 FISCAL YEAR FOR THE COSTA MESA STREET
LIGHTING DISTRICT.
The City Council of the City of Costa Mesa does hereby resolve and
determine that the hereinafter described territory, known and designated
as CORRIDOR NO. 1 ANNEXATION to the City of Costa Mesa, shall be included
in the tax levy for the fiscal year 1971-1972 for the Costa Mesa Street
Lighting District:
A portion of Lots 225, 226, 235 and 236 of Newport Heights as
shown on a map thereof, recorded in book 4, page 83 of
Miscellaneous Maps, records of Orange County, California, more
particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of the center lines of 20th
Street and Tustin Avenue as shown on said map of Newport
Heights; thence North 40° East, along said center line of
Tustin Avenue, 330.15 feet to the southeasterly prolongation of
the southwesterly line of said Lot 226; thence North 50° West,
along said southeasterly prolongation and the southwesterly
line of said Lot 226, 345.00 feet to an angle point in the
existing boundary of the City of Costa Mesa, as said boundary
is described in the Sewell Annexation to the City of Costa
Mesa, adopted March 16, 1970, by Resolution No. 70-30, said
angle point being the true point of beginning of the land
herein described; thence departing from the existing boundary
of the City of Costa Mesa and continuing North 50° West,
along said southwesterly line of said Lot 226, 161.00 feet to
an angle point in the existing boundary of the City of Costa
Mesa, as described in Woodland No. 1 Annexation to said City,
adopted January 6, 1964, by Ordinance 63-54; thence continuing
North 50° West along said southwesterly line of Lot 226, the
southwesterly line of Lot 225 and the existing boundary of
the City of Costa Mesa as described in said Woodland No. 1
Annexation to said City, 276.00 feet; thence departing from
the existing boundary of the City of Costa Mesa and continuing
North 50° West along the southwesterly line of said Lot 225,
308.00 feet; thence North 40' East, parallel with the south-
east line of said Lot 225, 330.15 feet to a point in the
northeasterly line of said Lot 225, said point being in the
existing boundary of the City of Costa Mesa as described in
the Twitchell No. 1 Annexation to said City, adopted
December 18, 1961, by Ordinance No. 423; thence South 50°
East, along said existing boundary and the northeast line
of said Lot 225, 198.00 feet; thence North 40° East,
parallel with the northwesterly line of said Lot 235, 330.15
feet, to a point in the northeasterly line of said Lot 235; thence
South 50° East departing from the existing boundary of said City
of Costa Mesa along said northeasterly line of Lot 235 and the
northeasterly line of Lot 236, 252.00 feet to an angle point
in the existing boundary of the City of Costa Mesa, as described
in Woodland No. 2 Annexation to said City, adopted May 17, 1964,
by Ordinance No. 64-21; thence continuing South 50° East along
said northeasterly line of Lot 236 and said existing boundary
of the City of Costa Mesa, 175.01 feet to the center line
of Garden Lane, said center line being a curve, concave east-
erly, having a radius of 45.00 feet; thence, departing from the
existing boundary of the City of Costa Mesa, southerly along
said center line curve through a central angle of 11° 56' 46",
an arc distance of 9.38 feet; thence South 6° 00' 20" East

along said center line, 122.41 feet to the beginning of a tangent
curve, concave westerly, having a radius of 85.00 feet; thence
Southerly along said center line curve through a central angle of
46° 00' 00", an arc distance of 68.24 feet; thence South 39° 59'
40" West, along said center line of Garden Lane, 374.99 feet
to an angle point in the existing boundary of the City of Costa
Mesa, as said boundary is described in previously mentioned
Sewell Annexation to said City; thence South 40° West, continu-
ing along said center line of Garden Lane and the existing
boundary of the City of Costa Mesa, 132.15 feet to the True
Point of Beginning.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 5th day of October, 1970.
