HomeMy WebLinkAbout70-105 - Stop Signs on New Hampshire at CaliforniaIs12 RESOLUTION NO. 70-105 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA, CALIFORNIA, ESTABLISHING STOP SIGNS ON NEW HAMPSHIRE STREET AT ITS INTERSECTION WITH CALIFORNIA STREET. WHEREAS, the Traffic Engineer of the City of Costa Mesa has recommended to this City Council that a stop sign be installed on New Hampshire Street at its intersection with California Street; and WHEREAS, although State stop sign warrants were not satisfied, the vision obstruction on one corner, poor observance of right of way rules, plus the anticipated addition to the tract within one year constitutes possible threat to the health, safety, and welfare of the public; and WHEREAS, this Council deems it to be in the best interest of the City that said stop sign should be installed; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa, that the Traffic Engineer of the City of Costa Mesa is hereby authorized and directed to install a stop sign on New Hampshire Street at its intersection with California Street.
