HomeMy WebLinkAbout71-06 - Parking Prohibition on North Side of Bay Streetzus RESOLUTION NO. 71-6 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA, CALIFORNIA, PROHIBITING PARKING AT ALL TIMES ON TEE NORTHERLY SIDE OF BAY STREET, BETWEEN NEWPORT BOULEVARD AND THURIN STREET. WHEREAS, the traffic volumes on Bay Street and the volumes in andout i of the driveway openings coupled with the geometrical alignment of Bay Street J make a hazardous situation; and WHEREAS, the Traffic Commission of the City of Costa Mesa has recom- mended to this City Council that parking be prohibited at all times on the northerly side of Bay Street between Newport Boulevard and Thurin Street; and Council of the WHEREAS, Section 3410.3 (d) of the Municipal Code of the City of Costa Mesa provides for the designation of no -parking areas by resolution of the City Council; and WHEREAS, this Council deems it to be in the best interest of the City that said parking restriction be established. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa, as follows: SECTION 1. That parking be and the same is hereby prohibited at all times on the northerly side of Bay Street between Newport Boulevard and Thurin Street. PASSED AND ADOPTED this 1st day of February, 1971.
