HomeMy WebLinkAbout71-14 - Intention to Vacate Right of Way at Southwest Corner of Harbor & Ponderosai RESOLUTION NO. 71-14 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA, CALIFORNIA, DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO ORDER THE VACATION OF RIGHT OF WAY AT THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF HARBOR BOULEVARD AND PONDEROSA STREET. The City Council of the City of Costa Mesa does hereby resolve as follows: SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Costa Mesa does hereby declare its intention to vacate those certain rights of way for street purposes described as follows: Abandon that land contained within the following description: Beginning at a point at the intersection of the centerlines of Harbor Boulevard 120.00 feet wide and Ponderosa Street 60.00 feet; thence Westerly along the centerline of Ponderosa Street a distance of 80.00 feet; thence Southerly parallel with the centerline of Harbor Boulevard a distance of 30.00 feet to a point on the Southerly line of Ponderosa Street, said point being the true point of beginning; thence along a line running Southeasterly to a point on the Westerly line of Harbor Boulevard said point being 50.00 feet from the centerline of Ponderosa Street; thence North- erly along said Westerly line a distance of 3.00 feet to the beginning of a curved line having a radius of 17.00 feet concave Southwesterly; thence along said curved line R to a point on the Southerly line of Ponderosa Street said !L point being 77.00 feet Westerly from the centerline of Harbor Boulevard; thence Westerly along said Southerly line to a distance of 3.00 feet to the true point of beginning. Said described land to become a part of Lot 5, Block F of Fairview as shown on a map thereof recorded in Book 2, pages 94 and 95 of Miscellaneous Maps, records of Los Angeles County. SECTION 2. Monday, the 5th day of April, 1971, at the hour of 7:30 p.m., in the Council Chamber at the Costa Mesa City Hall, 77 Fair Drive, Costa Mesa, California, is hereby fixed as the time and place for hearing all persons interested in or object- ing to the proposed vacation. SECTION 3. The City Manager of the City of Costa Mesa is hereby directed to cause notices of the said proposed vacation to be conspicuously posted along said strip of land for at least ten (10) days before the date of said hearing. Said notices shall be posted not more than three hundred (300) feet apart, but in no event shall less than three (3) notices be posted. City Clerk of the City of Costa esa SECTION 4. This resolution shall be published once in the Orange Coast Daily Pilot, a newspaper of general circulation printed in the City of Costa Mesa, County of Orange, State of California.
