RESOLUTION NO. 71-67
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA, WITHDRAWING
CERTAIN TERRITORIES FROM THE COSTA MESA LIGHTING DISTRICT,
WHEREAS, said territory included inadvertently, territory outside of
the corporation limits of the City of Costa Mesa as described in two legal
descriptions, describing Parcel "C" and Parcel "D" two copies of which are
attached to this resolution marked Exhibit "A" and Exhibit "B" and by this
specific reference made a part hereof; and
WHEREAS, said territory has been set forth on a map attached to this
resolution marked Exhibit "C" and by this specific reference made a part
hereof; and
WHEREAS, the City desires to deannex said property from the Costa
Mesa Lighting District;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that pursuant to Section 19290,
Street and Highway Code, the territories described in Exhibit "A" and
"B" attached to this resolution are hereby declared to be detached from
the Costa Mesa Lighting District.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a copy of this resolution be filed with
the State Board of Equalization, the Orange County Board of Supervisors,
the County Assessor for Orange County immediately following its passage.
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED, that the staff of the City of Costa Mesa take
such further steps as are necessary to affect this detachment.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 7th day of September, 1971.

adopted by the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa at a regular meeting
thereof held on the 7th day of September, 1971.

The City Council of the City of Costa Mesa does hereby resolve as
follows:
THAT WHEREAS,
the City of Costa
Mesa in annexing territories to our
corporation limits
being specifically
Woodland 111 and Woodland #3 did annex
certain territory
into the Costa Mesa
Lighting District; and
WHEREAS, said territory included inadvertently, territory outside of
the corporation limits of the City of Costa Mesa as described in two legal
descriptions, describing Parcel "C" and Parcel "D" two copies of which are
attached to this resolution marked Exhibit "A" and Exhibit "B" and by this
specific reference made a part hereof; and
WHEREAS, said territory has been set forth on a map attached to this
resolution marked Exhibit "C" and by this specific reference made a part
hereof; and

DEANNEXATION OF AREA OVERLAPPING CITY OF COSTA MESA SERVED BY THE COSTA
MESA STREET LIGHTING AND MAINTENANCE DISTRICT (UNDER CITY ADMINISTRATION).
WOODLAND NO. 1 ANNEXATION
DESCRIPTION OF AREA TO BE DEANNEXED BY COUNTY.
PARCEL "C"
Tax Code Area 15-004
Beginning at a point on the northeasterly line of 20th
Street, 60 feet in width, as shown on a map of Newport
Heights, recorded in Book 4, Page 82 of Miscellaneous
Maps, Records of Orange County, California, and the
existing boundary of the City of Costa Mesa, as described
in the official description of the original boundary line
of the City of Costa Mesa in a Resolution of the Board of
Supervisors, Orange County, California, dated June 25, 1953,
filed and accepted by the Secretary of State, State of
California, June 29, 1953, said point being distant thereon
south 50° east, 538.00 feet from the center line of Santa
Ana Avenue; thence departing from said existing boundary
of the City of Costa Mesa, north 40° east, 300.15 feet
to the northeasterly line of Lot 215 of Newport Heights;
thence south 50° east, along the northeasterly line of
said Lot 215 and the northeasterly line of Lot 216 of
said Newport Heights, 276.00 feet; thence south 40° west,
300.15 feet to a point in the existing boundary of the
City of Costa Mesa as said boundary is described in the
official description of the original boundary line of
the City of Costa Mesa in a Resolution of the Board of
Supervisors, Orange County, California, dated June 25, 1953, r
filed and accepted by the Secretary of State, State of J
California, June 29, 1953, said point also being on a
line 30.00 feet northeasterly of, and parallel with the
center line of said 20th Street; thence north 50° west,
along the last mentioned parallel line, 276.00 feet to

State, State of California, June 29, 1953, said point
being the most southerly corner of Lot 216, Newport
Heights, as shown on a map thereof, recorded in Book 4,
Page 83 of Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Orange County,
California; thence north 50° west along the southwest
line of said Lot 216 and the existing boundary of the
City of Costa Mesa, 102.00 feet; thence departing from
