HomeMy WebLinkAbout71-76 - Designating Recycling Steering Committee as Operating Body of Programr+ r RESOLUTION NO. 71-76 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA, CALIFORNIA, DESIGNATING THE COSTA MESA RECYCLING STEERING COMMITTEE AS POLICY AND OPERATING BODY OF COSTA MESA RECYCLING PROGRAM. WHEREAS, the City Council of Costa Mesa recognizes the importance of ecological balance; and WHEREAS, said Council recognizes the need for every citizen to become personally involved in remedying environmental problems; and WHEREAS, the Beautification Committee has been organized to deal with such environmental matters; and WHEREAS, the recycling of usable resources decreases the magnitude of the solid waste disposal problem and is a positive means of achieving a healthier, cleaner and more aesthetically pleasing City. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa hereby designates the Costa Mesa Recycling Steering Committee as the policy and operating body of the Costa Mesa Recycling Program and recognizes said body as a subcommittee of the Costa Mesa Beautification Committee.
