HomeMy WebLinkAbout71-88 - Parking Prohibition on California StreetRESOLUTION NO. 71-88 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA, CALIFORNIA, PROHIBITING PARKING ON EASTERLY CURB OF CALIFORNIA STREET BETWEEN GISLER AVENUE AND MICHIGAN AVENUE. WHEREAS, the Traffic Commission of the City of Costa Mesa has recommended to this City Council that parking be prohibited at all times on the easterly curb of California Street between Gisler Avenue and Michigan Avenue to allow an experimental bicycle lane for the use of students at TeWinkle and California Schools; and WHEREAS, Section 3410.3 (d) of the Municipal Code of the City of Costa Mesa provides for the designation of no -parking areas by resolution by the City Council; and WHEREAS, this Council deems it to be in the best interest of the City that parking prohibition be authorized as recommended by the Costa Mesa Traffic Commission. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa, that parking be and the same is hereby prohibited at all times on the easterly curb of California Street between Gisler Avenue and Michigan Avenue and the designation of an experimental bicycle lane along said easterly curb of California Street is hereby approved.
