HomeMy WebLinkAbout72-21 - Intention to Order Vacation of Portion of Wakeham AvenueRESOLUTION NO. 72-21 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA, CALIFORNIA, DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO ORDER THE VACATION OF A PORTION OF WAREHAM AVENUE, WEST OF HEAR STREET, IN THE CITY OF COSTA MESA. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA, CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. The City. Council of the City of Costa Mesa does hereby declare its intention to vacate a portion of Wakeham Avenue described as follows: That portion of Sunflower Avenue (formerly Wakeham Avenue) 50.00 feet in width which extends from the Westerly line of Bear Street, in a westerly direction for a distance of 1309.74 feet. SECTION 2. Tuesday, the 22nd day of February, 1972, at the hour of 6:30 p.m., in the Council Chamber at the City Hall, 77 Fair Drive, Costa Mesa, California, is hereby fixed as the time and place for hearing all persons interested in or objecting to the proposed vacations. SECTION 3. These proceedings shall be conducted pursuant to the provisions of Chapter III, Part 3, Division 9 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California. SECTION 4. The City Manager of the City of Costa Mesa is hereby directed to cause notices of the said proposed vacations to be conspicuously ■ posted along said strips of land for at least ten (10) days before the date J of said hearing. Said notices shall be posted not more than three hundred (300) feet apart, but in no event shall less than three (3) notices be posted. SECTION 5. This resolution shall be published once in the ORANGE COAST DAILY PILOT, a newspaper of general circulation printed and published in the City of Costa Mesa, Orange County, California.
