HomeMy WebLinkAbout73-42 - Parking Prohibition on Monrovia, Newhall, and Red HillRESOLUTION NO. 73-42 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA, CALIFORNIA, PROHIBITING PARKING ON MONROVIA AVENUE, ON NEWHALL STREET, AND ON RED HILL AVENUE AS PROVIDED FOR IN SECTION 3410.3 (d) OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE. WHEREAS, the Traffic Commission of the City of Costa Mesa has recommended to this City Council that the following changes be made on Monrovia Avenue, on Newhall Street, and on iced Hill Avenue, in the City of Costa Mesa: (a) Parking prohibition on the westerly curb of Monrovia Avenue between 160 feet to 290 feet northerly of the centerline of 16th Street; (b) Parking prohibition on both sides of Newhall Street from Monrovia Avenue to 660 feet westerly, from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.; (c) Parking prohibition at all times on both sides of Red Hill Avenue from Bristol Street to the San Diego Freeway; WHEREAS, Section 3410.3 (d) of the Municipal Code of the City of Costa Mesa provides for the designation of no -parking areas by resolution of the City Council; and WHEREAS, this Council deems it to be in the best interest of the City that said parking restrictions be established; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa that parking be, and the same is hereby, prohibited; on the westerly curb of Monrovia Avenue between 160 feet to 290 feet northerly of the centerline of 16th Street; on both sides of Newhall Street from Monrovia Avenue to 660 feet westerly, from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.; and at all times on both sides of Red Hill Avenue from Bristol Street to the San Diego Freeway.
