HomeMy WebLinkAbout72-114 - Adopting Orange County Revenue Sharing PlanRESOLUTION NO. 72-114 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA, CALIFORNIA, ADOPTING THE COOPERATIVE ORANGE COUNTY REVENUE SHARING PLAN. WHEREAS, there has been presented to the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa a specific plan for the spending of Orange County Revenue Sharing Funds; and WHEREAS, such a plan will allow 50 percent of Orange County's revenue sharing monies to be used, at the discretion of the Board of Supervisors, solely for County -determined priorities; and WHEREAS, a matching fund program will also be established whereby, on a 50-50 matching basis, County revenue sharing funds (not to exceed 50 percent of the total) will be used on priority items as determined by the local City and approved by the Orange County Board of Supervisors within the approved Federal guidelines; and WHEREAS, such funds will be systematically distributed in a manner consistent with the spirit of the federal approach to revenue sharing with a time frame for utilization; and WHEREAS, this City Council, after hearing all the evidence, deems it to be in the best interest of the City that said specific plan be adopted. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa that the cooperative Orange County Revenue Sharing Plan is hereby approved, ratified and adopted.
