HomeMy WebLinkAbout73-46 - Intention to Abandon Lot "A", Banning Tract, and Lot 75, Fairview FarmsRESOLUTION NO. 73-46 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA, CALIFORNIA, DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO ORDER THE VACATION OF PORTIONS OF LOT "A", BANNING TRACT, AND PORTIONS OF LOT 75, FAIRVIEW FARMS, IN THE CITY OF COSTA MESA. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Costa Mesa does hereby declare its intention to vacate that portion of public easement, and reference is hereby made to a map on file in the City Clerk's office, described as follows: A portion of lot "A" of the Banning Tract and a portion of Lot 75 of Fairview Farms, as shown on a Record of Survey recorded in Book 36, Page 29, Orange County Records, described as: A strip of land 40.00 feet in width parallel and adjacent to the Southwesterly boundary line of the above described Record of Survey, comprising an area of 24.25 acres, said boundary line described as: Beginning at the centerline of Victoria Drive as shown on said record of survey; thence South 17° 01' 50" East 366.11 feet; thence South 35° 57' 10" East 247.30 feet; thence South 58° 47' 20" East 172.62 feet; thence South 37° 11' 00" East 169.02 feet; thence South 63° 22' 00" East 815.56 feet; thence South 41° 12' 30" East 282.91 feet to the Southeasterly corner of the above mentioned record of survey. SECTION 2. Monday, the 4th day of June, 1973, at the hour of 6:30 p.m., in the Council Chamber at the City Hall, 77 Fair Drive, Costa Mesa, California, is hereby fixed as the time and place for hearing all persons interested in or objecting to the proposed vacation. SECTION 3. These proceedings shall be conducted pursuant to the provisions of Section 8300, et seq., of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California. SECTION 4. The City Manager of the City of Costa Mesa is hereby directed to cause notices of the said proposed vacations to be conspicu- ously posted along said strips of land for at least ten (10) days before the date of said hearing. Said notices shall be posted not more than three hundred (300) feet apart, but in no event shall less than three (3) notices be posted. SECTION 5. This resolution shall be published once in the ORANGE COAST DAILY PILOT, a newspaper of general circulation printed and pub- lished in the City of Costa Mesa, Orange County, California.
