HomeMy WebLinkAbout73-59 - Parking Prohibition on Monrovia AvenueRESOLUTION NO. 73-59 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA, CALIFORNIA, PROHIBITING PARKING ON THE WESTERLY CURB OF MONROVIA AVENUE. WHEREAS, the Traffic Commission of the City of Costa Mesa has recommended to this City Council that parking be prohibited at all times on the westerly curb of Monrovia Avenue for a distance of 40 feet southerly of Newhall Street; and that parking be prohibited at all times on the wes- terly curb of Monrovia Avenue for a distance of 50 feet northerly of Newhall Street; and WHEREAS, Section 3410.3 (d) of the Municipal Code of the City of Costa Mesa, provides for the designation of no -parking areas by resolution by the City Council; and WHEREAS, this Council deems it to be in the best interest of the City that parking prohibition be authorized as recommended by the Costa Mesa Traffic Commission. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa that parking be and the same is hereby prohibited at all times on the westerly curb of Monrovia Avenue for a distance of 40 feet southerly of New- hall Street; and that parking be prohibited at all times on the westerly curb of Monrovia Avenue for a distance of 50 feet northerly of Newhall Street.
