A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA
MESA, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING CERTAIN OF ITS MEMBERS
TO FILE A WRITTEN ARGUMENT FOR A CITY MEASURE.
WHEREAS, an election is to be held in the City of Costa Mesa on
September 11, 1973, at which there will be submitted to the qualified
electors of said City the following City measure:
BOND PROPOSITION "A": Shall the City of Costa Mesa incur
a bonded indebtedness in the principal sum of $2,602,000.00
for the acquisition of land for park sites and/or open space
purposes, and all expenses incidental to or connected with the
authorization, issuance and sale of the bonds?
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa does
hereby resolve, determine and order as follows:
SECTION 1. That this City Council, being the legislative body of
said City, hereby authorizes
Jack Hammett
Willard T. Jordan
Alvin L. Pinkley
Robert M. Wilson
Dom Raciti
being all of the members of said body, to file a written argument for the
City measure set forth in the recitals hereof in accordance with Article
4, Chapter 3, Division 4 of the Elections Code of the State of California
and to change said argument until and including the date fixed by the City
Clerk after which no arguments for or against said City measure may be
submitted to said City Clerk.
ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this 2nd day of July, 1973.
