HomeMy WebLinkAbout73-76 - Establishing Bicycle Lane on Baker StreetRESOLUTION NO. 73-76 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA, CALIFORNIA, ESTABLISHING A BICYCLE LANE PURSUANT TO SECTION 3418.3 OF THE COSTA MESA MUNICIPAL CODE. WHEREAS, the Traffic Commission of the City of Costa Mesa, at their regular meeting of June 27, 1973, has recommended to the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa that an eight -foot, two-way bicycle lane be established on the northerly curb of Baker Street between Mesa Verde Drive East and Labrador Drive. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa that said Council finds and declares that the health, safety, and welfare of the motoring public of the City of Costa Mesa will be served by the establishment of the aforementioned bicycle lane. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that pursuant to Section 3418.3 of the Costa Mesa Municipal Code an eight -foot, two-way bicycle lane is hereby established on the north side of Baker Street between the curb and eight feet south of the curb for the distance between Mesa Verde Drive East and Labrador Drive. PASSED AND ADOPTED this 16th day of July, 1973.
