HomeMy WebLinkAbout73-77 - Ordering Vacation of Alley South of Ford Road and East of Harbor BoulevardRESOLUTION NO. 73-77 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA, CALIFORNIA, ORDERING THE VACATION OF A SIXTEEN -FOOT ALLEY LOCATED SOUTH OF FORD ROAD AND EAST OF HARBOR BOULEVARD. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa did, on the 26th day of June, 1973, pass and adopt Resolution No. 73-56, entitled: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA, CALIFORNIA, DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO ORDER THE VACATION OF A SIXTEEN -FOOT ALLEY LOCATED SOUTH OF FORD ROAD AND EAST OF HARBOR BOULEVARD; and WHEREAS, pursuant to said Resolution of Intention, the time and place for hearing all persons interested in or objecting to the proposed vacation was set for Monday, the 16th day of July, 1973, at the hour of 6:30 p.m., or as soon thereafter as practicable, in the Council Chamber of the City Hall, 77 Fair Drive, Costa Mesa, California; and WHEREAS, notices of said proposed vacation were duly and regularly posted as required by law, all pursuant to the provisions of Division 9, Part 3, Chapter 2 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California; and WHEREAS, said date of hearing coming on regularly to be heard, all persons appearing on the proposed vacation were heard, and said hearing was closed on the 16th day of July, 1973; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa finds and determines, from all the evidence submitted, that the hereinafter described right of way is unnecessary for present or prospective street purposes; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA DOES ORDER AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: 1. That the hereinafter described right of way is unnecessary for present or prospective street purposes. 2. It is hereby ordered that the following described right of way be, and the same is hereby vacated: Abandonment for street purposes only of a 16 -foot alley located south of Ford Road, beginning approximately 180 feet easterly of the center- line of Harbor Boulevard, Costa Mesa, California, as shown on a map on file in the Costa Mesa City Clerk's office; said alley is approximately 268.41 feet in length, measured from the centerline of existing Ford Road. PASSED AND ADOPTED this 16th day of July, 1973.
