HomeMy WebLinkAbout73-100 - Commending Citizens for Open Space in Bond ElectionRESOLUTION NO. 73-100 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA COMMENDING THE CITIZENS FOR OPEN SPACE FOR THEIR EFFORTS IN THE RECENT BOND ELECTION. WHEREAS, the Citizens for Open Space did volunteer their services for the bond election; and WHEREAS, this Committee expressed to the residents of Costa Mesa the need to preserve open space; and WHEREAS, the Citizens for Open Space, through concentrated effort and determination, convinced voters in the City of Costa Mesa to preserve its remaining open space for a growing population. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa deems it only proper that the Citizens for Open Space be commended for such an outstanding contribution to the future of our community. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be entered in the permanent records of the City and that certified copies be trans- mitted to Vaughn Redding, Chairman of the Citizens for Open Space and Arlene Schafer, Vice Chairman, and facsimile copies be transmitted to each member of the Committee.
