A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA
MESA, CALIFORNIA, DECLARING AND ORDERING CERTAIN TER-
RITORY KNOWN AS MASCHMEYER ANNEXATION ANNEXED TO THE
CITY OF COSTA MESA WITHOUT HEARING OR ELECTION.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS ...,
FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, the Local Agency Formation Commission of Orange County,
California, did on the 11th day of July, 1973, approve the annexation of
certain territory described as Maschmeyer Annexation to the City of Costa
Mesa, after application having been resubmitted for said annexation pur-
suant to Section 54799, California Government Code, and accompanied by
written consent of one hundred percent of the land owners within the
territory.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa, California,
finds and determines as follows:
(a) That the territory proposed to be annexed is uninhabited and that
no written protests have been filed and that the written protests filed and
not withdrawn represent less than ten percent of the number of land owners
in the territory proposed to be annexed, owning not more than ten percent
of the assessed value of land therein.
(b) That the proposed annexation will be for the interest of the land
owners and the present and future inhabitants within the territory proposed
to be annexed.
(c) That the City Council has taken into consideration as a factor,
in addition to the factors hereinabove set forth, the Local Agency Formation --�
Commission's approval of the proposed annexation.
(d) That the territory to be annexed is contiguous to the existing
boundaries of the City of Costa Mesa and is not, nor is any part thereof,
included in any other city or similar purpose.
The City Council has hereby ordered the annexation of Maschmeyer
Annexation in accordance with Resolution 73-103 of the Local Agency Forma-
tion Commission.
That the exterior boundaries of the territory annexed are as set forth
in a map and legal description attached hereto marked Exhibit "A", and by
this reference made a part hereof.

MASCHMEYER ANNEXATION - REVISED
TO THE CITY OF COSTA MESA
A portion of Lot 78 of Tract No. 376 and Del Mar Avenue adjoining, in the
County of Orange, State of California, as shown on a map of said tract,
recorded in book 15, page 29, of Miscellaneous Maps filed in the office of
the County Recorder of said County, more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of the northeasterly prolongation of
the southeasterly line of said Lot 78 with the center line of Del
Mar Avenue as shown on said Tract, said intersection being South
50°11'45" East, 660.07 feet, measured along the center line of said
Del Mar Avenue from the center line of Santa Ana Avenue as shown on
said map of Tract No. 376; thence South 39048145" West, along said
northeasterly prolongation and said southeasterly line of Lot 78,
660.00 feet to the southerly corner of said Lot 78, said southerly
corner being an angle point in the existing boundary of the City of
Costa Mesa as said boundary is described in Monte Vista No. 1
Annexation to said City; thence North 50°11'45" West, along said
existing boundary and the southwesterly line of Lot 78, 246.40 feet
to a point, said point being 83.60 feet, measured along said south-
westerly lot line, southeasterly of the westerly corner of said Lot
78; thence North 39°45'32" East, departing from said lot line and
said existing boundary of the City of Costa Mesa, 630.00 feet to a
point in the northeasterly line of said Lot 78, said point being
83.01 feet, measured along said northeasterly lot line, south-
easterly of the northerly corner of said Lot 78; thence continuing
North 39°45'32" East, 30.00 feet to the center line of previously
mentioned Del Mar Avenue; thence South 50°11'45" East, along said
center line, 247.02 feet to the point of beginning.
