A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA
MESA, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING THE REPORT OF THE CITY
ENGINEER TO SAID CITY MADE PURSUANT TO THE REQUIREMENTS
OF RESOLUTION NUMBER 73-124 DATED NOVEMBER 19, 1973.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa, California,
did in a resolution of said City adopted November 19, 1973, pursuant to
the provisions of the "Street Lighting Act of 1919" of the State of
California, being Part 1 of Division 14 of the Streets and Highway Code
of said State as amended requiring the City Engineer to make and file
with the Clerk of the City Council a report in writing presenting certain
matters relating to proposed lighting maintenance and services in said
City; and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer, pursuant to the requirements of said
City Council as expressed in said resolution did make and on the 19th day
of November, 1973, file in the office of the City Clerk, who is the ex -
officio Clerk of the Council of said City, his report in writing in
response to the requirements of the said City Council of said City; and
WHEREAS, said City Clerk has presented the said report to the City
Council of said City, and said Council has proceeded to carefully examine,
inspect, and consider the said report and is satisfied with said report
and with each and all of the items therein set forth;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa, California,
does hereby resolve, declare, determine and order as follows:
SECTION 1. That the report of the City Engineer of the City of Costa
Mesa, California, bearing date of the 19th day of November, 1973, which
said report was prepared and filed pursuant to the requirements of the
provisions of said Resolution of November 19, 1973, of the City Council
of said City, and in conformity with the provisions of the "Street Lighting
Act of 1919" of the State of California (Part 1 of Division 14 of the Streets
and Highways Code of the said State) as amended, and particularly as con-
templated under the provisions of Section 18041 of said law and under the
alternative procedure for levying and collecting assessments on ad valorem
basis, provided for in Chapter 8.5 of the Street Lighting Act of 1919,
and which said report was filed in the office of the City Clerk (who is
ex -officio Clerk of the City Council) of the City of Costa Mesa,
California, on the 19th day of November, 1973, be and the same is hereby
approved as so prepared, presented and filed.
SECTION 2. That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage and
adoption of this Resolution, shall cause the original of the same to be
entered among the original Resolutions of the City Council of said City
and shall make a minute of the passage and adoption thereof in the records
of the proceedings of the City Council of said City in the minutes of the
meeting at which the same is passed and adopted.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 19th day of November, 1973.

meeting of the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa, California, held on
the 19th day of November, 1973, the foregoing Resolution, being Resolution
No, 73-125, was considered section by section and that said Resolution was
then passed and adopted as a whole by the following roll call vote, to wit:
