RESOLUTION NO. 74-39
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA
MESA, CALIFORNIA, DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO ORDER
THE VACATION OF PORTIONS OF PALACE AVENUE BETWEEN
NINETEENTH AND HAMILTON STREETS.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Costa Mesa does hereby
declare its intention to vacate portions of Palace Avenue in excess of
that required for the 30 -foot alley as adopted in Specific Plan for Pro-
posed Palace Avenue by Resolution No. 71-83 on November 15, 1971; said
excess right of way is shown on a map on file in the Office of the City
Clerk.
SECTION 2. Tuesday, the 6th day of August, 1974, at the hour of
6:30 p.m., in the Council Chambers at the City Hall, 77 Fair Drive,
Costa Mesa, California, is hereby fixed as the time and place for
hearing all persons interested in or objecting to the proposed vaca-
tions.
SECTION 3. These proceedings shall be conducted pursuant to the
provisions of Chapter III, Part 3, Division 9, of the Streets and High-
ways Code of the State of California.
SECTION 4. The City Manager of the City of Costa Mesa is hereby
directed to cause notices of the said proposed vacations to be conspicu-
ously posted along said strips of land for at least ten (10) days before
the date of said hearing. Said notices shall be posted not more than
three hundred (300) feet apart, but in no event shall less than three
(3) notices be posted.
SECTION 5. This resolution shall be published once in the Orange
Coast Daily Pilot, a newspaper of general circulation printed and pub-
lished in the City of Costa Mesa, Orange County, California.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 2nd day of July, 1974.
