HomeMy WebLinkAbout74-46 - Parking Prohibition on Mendoza and Establishing Bicycle Laneits RESOLUTION NO. 74-46 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA, CALIFORNIA, PROHIBITING PARKING ON MENDOZA DRIVE BETWEEN BAKER STREET AND EL CAMINO DRIVE AND ESTABLISH- ING A BICYCLE LANE. WHEREAS, the Traffic Commission of the City of Costa Mesa has recommended to this City Council that parking be prohibited at all times on the easterly curb of Mendoza Drive between Baker Street and E1 Camino Drive, and that a two-way bicycle lane be established; and WHEREAS, Section 10-213 of the Municipal Code of the City of Costa Mesa provides for the designation of no -parking areas by resolution by the City Council; and WHEREAS, this Council deems it to be in the best interest of the City that parking prohibition be authorized as recommended by the Costa Mesa Traffic Commission, and that a two-way bicycle lane be established; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa that parking be and the same is hereby prohibited at all times on the easterly curb of Mendoza Drive between Baker Street and E1 Camino Drive; and a two-way bicycle lane is hereby established along said easterly curb of Mendoza Drive.
