HomeMy WebLinkAbout74-58 - Fixing Amount of Revenue Necessary to Support City Departments 1974-75i 4J RESOLUTION NO. 74-58 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA, CALIFORNIA, FIXING THE AMOUNT OF REVENUE FROM PROPERTY TAXES NECESSARY TO SUPPORT ITS DEPARTMENTS FOR THE CURRENT FISCAL YEAR OF 1974-75. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: THAT, WHEREAS, Section 51508 of the Government Code of the State of California requires a City Council which has transferred the duties of the Assessor and Tax Collector to fix by ordinance or resolution the amount of revenue from property taxes necessary to support the depart- ments of the City for the current fiscal year and to pay the indebtedness of the City or any portion of the district of the City; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa has heretofore by ordinance transferred the duties of the Assessor and Tax Collector to the County of Orange; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the amount of revenue from property taxes necessary to support the departments of the City of Costa Mesa for the current fiscal year of 1974-75 is $2,393,105.00. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the amount of revenue from a special assessment tax upon all land and all improvements within the Costa Mesa Street Lighting District necessary to support said District for the fiscal year of 1974-75 is $530,788.00. BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that there is no bonded or other indebted- ness of said District. PASSED AND ADOPTED this 20th day of August, 1974.
