RESOLUTION NO. 74-59
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
OF COSTA MESA, CALIFORNIA, FIXING THE TAX RATE
PER CENTUM AND LEVYING A TAX UPON ALL OF THE
TAXABLE PROPERTY WITHIN THE CITY OF COSTA MESA,
WHICH IS TAXABLE, FOR MUNICIPAL PURPOSES.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS
FOLLOWS:
BE IT RESOLVED that there be and is hereby levied upon all the
taxable property within the City of Costa Mesa, which is taxable therein
for municipal purposes, a tax for the purpose of raising the necessary
money with which to carry on the various departments of the City of
Costa Mesa for the current fiscal year of 1974-75, which rate is suffi-
cient to raise the amount fixed by Resolution No. 74-58, fixing the
amount of revenue from property taxes necessary to support the depart-
ments of the City for the current year.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the rate per centum of the tax herein-
after levied shall be and is hereby fixed as the sum of $.8725 on each
one hundred dollars ($100.00) of value designed for each fund as
follows:
For Current Expense Fund: $ .8725
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that in addition to all other taxes herein-
above levied, there is hereby levied on all of the taxable property
within the Vehicle Parking District No. 1 of the City of Costa Mesa, a
tax of $.0500 on each one hundred dollars ($100.00) assessed value of
taxable land and improvements within the District, for the purpose of
the maintenance, operation, repair, and improvement of parking places in
said Vehicle Parking District No. 1 of the City of Costa Mesa.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that in addition to all other taxes herein-
above levied, there is hereby levied upon all the taxable property
within Vehicle Parking District No. 1 of the City of Costa Mesa, a tax
of $.1000 on each one hundred dollars ($100.00) assessed value of
taxable land and improvements within the District, for the purpose of
acquisition of additional parking places within said District.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that in addition to all other taxes herein-
above levied, there is hereby levied on all of the taxable property
within the Vehicle Parking District No. 2 of the City of Costa Mesa, a
tax of $.0500 on each one hundred dollars ($100.00) assessed value of
taxable land and improvements within the District, for the purpose of
the maintenance, operation, repair, and improvement of parking places in
said Vehicle Parking District No. 2 of the City of Costa Mesa.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that in addition to all other taxes herein-
above levied, it is hereby levied upon all of the taxable property
within Vehicle Parking District No. 2 of the City of Costa Mesa, a tax
of $.1000 on each one hundred dollars ($100.00) assessed value of
taxable land and improvements within the District, for the purpose of
acquisition of additional parking places within said District.
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that in addition to all other taxes herein-
above levied, it is hereby levied a special assessment tax upon all land
and all improvements within the Costa Mesa Street Lighting District of
$.2300 on each one hundred dollars ($100.00) assessed value of taxable
land and improvements within this District.
This Resolution No. 74-59 shall take effect and be in full force
immediately upon its passage by the City Council of the City of Costa
Mesa.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 20th day of August, 1974.
