HomeMy WebLinkAbout74-67 - California General Aviation Week98 RESOLUTION NO. 74-67 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA, CALIFORNIA, DESIGNATING THE WEEK OF SEPTEMBER 21 THROUGH 26, 1974, AS CALIFORNIA GENERAL AVIATION WEEK. WHEREAS, the State Division of Aeronautics and the Federal Aviation Administration are cooperating in a joint effort to alert the general public and pilots as to the various uses of general aviation; and WHEREAS, the Federal Aviation Administration's accident prevention specialists are presenting all -day hangar meetings, and other aviation organizations, industry, groups, and associations are being asked to participate in week-long activities and displays; and WHEREAS, an additional aim is to focus the attention of pilots on safety practices in flying; and WHEREAS, the City of Costa Mesa is located near the second busiest airport in the Nation, and is therefore concerned about aircraft, pilots, and citizens; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa, California, hereby urges that all citizens observe California General Aviation Week, safe aeronautical practices, and the privilege of flying, and enjoy one of the finest airports in the United States.
