RESOLUTION NO. 74-70
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
COSTA MESA, CALIFORNIA, PROHIBITING PARKING ON
PORTIONS OF SIXTEENTH, SEVENTEENTH, AND EIGHTEENTH
STREETS.
WHEREAS, the Traffic Commission of the City of Costa Mesa has
recommended to this City Council that parking be prohibited at all
times, for the purpose of preventing parking on newly -installed traffic
signal detectors, on the northerly and southerly curbs of Sixteenth,
Seventeenth, and Eighteenth Streets at the right curbs approaching the
Placentia Avenue intersection; and
WHEREAS, Section 10-213 of the Municipal Code of the City of Costa
Mesa provides for the designation of no -parking areas by resolution by
the City Council; and
WHEREAS, this Council deems it to be in the best interest of the
City that parking prohibition be authorized as recommended by the Costa
Mesa Traffic Commission;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Costa Mesa that parking be, and the same is hereby prohibited at all
times on the northerly and southerly curbs of Sixteenth, Seventeenth,
and Eighteenth Streets at the right curbs approaching the Placentia
Avenue intersection.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 17th day of September, 1974.
