A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
COSTA MESA, CALIFORNIA, PROHIBITING PARKING ON
IRVINE AVENUE BETWEEN SEVENTEENTH STREET AND
TWENTIETH STREET AND ESTABLISHING A BICYCLE LANE.
WHEREAS, the Traffic Commission of the City of Costa Mesa has
recommended to this City Council that parking be prohibited at all times
on the westerly curb of Irvine Avenue between 17th Street and 20th
Street, and that a bicycle lane be established; and
WHEREAS, Section 10-213 of the Municipal Code of the City of Costa
Mesa provides for the designation of no -parking areas by resolution of
the City Council; and
WHEREAS, this Council deems it to be in the best interest of the
City that parking prohibition be authorized as recommended by the Costa
Mesa Traffic Commission, and that a bicycle lane be established;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Costa Mesa that parking be, and the same is hereby prohibited at all
times on the westerly curb of Irvine Avenue between 17th Street and 20th
Street, and that a bicycle lane is hereby established along said wester-
ly curb of Irvine Avenue.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 17th day of June, 1975.
