HomeMy WebLinkAbout75-85 - Intention to Construct Bicycle WaysRESOLUTION NO. 75-85 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA, CALIFORNIA, AFFIRMING ITS INTENTION TO CONSTRUCT A BIBYCLE WAY ALONG GISLER AVENUE BETWEEN THE SANTA ANA RIVER AND FAIRVIEW ROAD, AND ON FAIRVIEW STATE HOSPITAL PROPERTY BETWEEN MERRIMAC WAY AND MESA VERDE DRIVE EAST; AND MAKING APPLICATION FOR FUND ING UNDER SENATE BILL 821. WHEREAS, the intention of construction of bicycle ways is required for application for funds under Senate Bill 821; and WHEREAS, the City of Costa Mesa adopted a Master Plan of Bikeways in October of 1974; and WHEREAS, the Master Plan of Bikeways indicates the intention of constructing a bicycle way connecting the Santa Ana River trail to Fairview Road in the vicinity of Gisler Avenue and connecting Merrimac Way to Mesa Verde Drive East, crossing Fairview State Hospital property; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa affirms its intention to construct a bicycle way in the vicinity of Gisler Avenue connecting the Santa Ana River trail to Fair- view Road and connecting Merrimac Way crossing to Mesa Verde Drive East, crossing Fairview State Hospital property. BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that application is hereby made for funding through Southern California Association of Governments under Senate Bill 821. PASSED AND ADOPTED this 19th day of August, 1975.
