A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
COSTA MESA, CALIFORNIA, PROHIBITING PARKING ON
PLACENTIA AVENUE BETWEEN NINETEENTH AND JOANN
STREETS FOR THE PURPOSE OF ESTABLISHING BICYCLE
LANES.
WHEREAS, the Costa Mesa Traffic Commission has recommended that
parking prohibition be fixed and established for the purpose of estab-
lishing bicycle lanes on the easterly and westerly curbs of Placentia
Avenue between Nineteenth and Joann Streets; and
WHEREAS, this City Council deems it to be in the best interest of
the public that said parking be prohibited at all times and that said
bicycle lanes be fixed and established;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Costa Mesa that parking prohibition at all times be, and the same is
hereby, authorized as recommended by the Traffic Commission on the
easterly and westerly curbs of Placentia Avenue between Nineteenth and
Joann Streets for the purpose of allowing the establishment of a five-
foot bicycle lane on each side of Placentia Avenue.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 7th day of January, 1975.
