HomeMy WebLinkAbout09-38 - Adopt FY 2009-10 Fire Prevention Hazardous Material Disclosure Late Filing Fee0 0 RESOLUTION NO. 09-38 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA, CALIFORNIA, TO. ADOPT THE FISCAL YEAR 2009-2010 FIRE PREVENTION HAZARDOUS MATERIAL DISCLOSURE LATE FILING FEE. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: WHEREAS, the California Health & Safety Code allows municipalities to recover reasonable costs for services provided to the community; and WHEREAS, the 2009-2010 Fire Prevention Hazardous Material Disclosure Late Filing Fee Schedule is based on the current labor cost to provide the service, including materials and overhead costs; and WHEREAS, the adoption of this fee schedule will generate a projected additional $4,000 annually that will help the City offset some of the many costs associated with the vital public safety services provided by the Fire Department for the protection and preservation of life, health, and property; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa hereby approves that the Fire Department implement the fiscal year 2009-2010 Fire Prevention Hazardous Material Disclosure Late Filing Fee.
