HomeMy WebLinkAbout75-102 - Appreciation to Thelma Paddock Hope, Artistic EndeavorRESOLUTION NO. 75-102 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA, CALIFORNIA, IN APPRECIATION TO THELMA PADDOCK HOPE FOR HER ARTISTIC ENDEAVOR CREATING AN HISTORICAL RECORD FOR THE CITY OF COSTA MESA OF THE UNITED STATES BICENTENNIAL CELEBRATION IN THE YEAR 1976. --Z WHEREAS, Thelma Paddock Hope was commissioned by the Bicentennial Committee to create an oil painting of the Sepulveda Adobe; and WHEREAS, this beautiful work of art will serve as a remembrance of the United States Bicentennial celebration in the City of Costa Mesa; and WHEREAS, the Sepulveda Adobe painting will be placed on display in the Costa Mesa City Hall for the enjoyment of all citizens; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council extends their appreciation to Thelma Paddock Hope for her patriotic interest in creating an historical record for the City of Costa Mesa. BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that a certified copy of this Resolution be presented to Thelma Paddock Hope for her personal files, and that the original hereof be placed in the permanent archives of the City of Costa Mesa.
