HomeMy WebLinkAbout76-84 - Intention to Order Vacation between 21st Street and Pauline Placer RESOLUTION NO. 76-84 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA, CALIFORNIA, DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO ORDER THE VACATION OF PARKWAY IN A PORTION OF LOT 253 OF THE NEWPORT HEIGHTS TRACT, LOCATED BETWEEN TWENTY-FIRST STREET AND PAULINE PLACE. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Costa Mesa does hereby declare its intention to vacate a seven -foot parkway described as follows: That portion of Lot 253 of the Newport Heights Tract, per map thereof recorded in Book 4, Page 83, Miscellaneous Maps, records of Orange County, California, described as follows: BEGINNING at a point on the northwesterly line of said Lot 253 distant northeasterly 182.00 feet from the most westerly corner thereof; thence southeasterly along the northeasterly line of the southwesterly 182.00 feet of said Lot 253 a distance of 125.00 feet; thence, at right angles, south- westerly 7.00 feet to the southwesterly line of that certain easement conveyed to the City of Costa Mesa and recorded February 19, 1959, in Book 4593, Page 284 of Official Records of Orange County; thence northwesterly along the southwesterly line of said easement a distance of 107.00 feet to the begin- ning of a tangent curve concave southerly having a radius of 18.00 feet; thence westerly along said curve through a central angle of 90° 00' 00" an arc distance of 28.27 feet to the northwesterly line of said Lot 253; thence northeasterly along said line a distance of 25.00 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING. RESERVING therefrom an easement for all existing underground and overhead public utilities together with the right of ingress and egress for the purpose of maintaining, replacing, and upgrading said existing public utilities. SECTION 2. Monday, the 2nd day of August, 1976, at the hour of 6:30 p.m., in the Council Chambers of City Hall, 77 Fair Drive, Costa Mesa, California, is hereby fixed as the time and place for hearing all persons interested in or objecting to the proposed vacation. SECTION 3. These proceedings shall be conducted pursuant to the provisions of Section 8300 et seq. of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California. SECTION 4. The City Manager of the City of Costa Mesa is hereby directed to cause notices of the said proposed vacation to be conspicu- ously posted along said strips of land for at least ten (10) days before the date of said hearing. Said notices shall be posted not more than three hundred (300) feet apart, but in no event shall less than three (3) notices be posted. SECTION 5. This Resolution shall be published once in the Orange Coast Daily Pilot, a newspaper of general circulation printed and pub- lished in the City of Costa Mesa, Orange County, California.
