RESOLUTION NO. 76-97
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
COSTA MESA, CALIFORNIA, DECLARING ITS INTENTION
TO ORDER THE VACATION OF A PORTION OF SAN JUAN
LANE, LOT 51, TRACT 4808, LOCATED IN THE GENERAL
AREA OF THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF CIBOLA AVENUE
AND SAN JUAN LANE.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Costa Mesa does hereby
declare its intention to vacate a portion of San Juan Lane described as
follows:
BEGINNING at the southeast corner of Lot 51, Tract No. 4808, per
map thereof recorded in Book 172, Pages 47 through 50 of Miscella-
neous Maps, records of Orange County, California; thence south
along the southerly prolongation of the east line of said Lot 51 a
distance of 5.00 feet; thence west along a line parallel and 5.00
feet southerly of the south line of Lot 51 a distance of 78.00
feet; thence north a distance of 5.00 feet to the south line of
said Lot 51; thence east along said south line a distance of 78.00
feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING.
RESERVING THEREFROM a perpetual easement for Public Utility pur-
poses over, under, across, and through the southerly 3.00 feet of
the above described parcel.
SECTION 2. Tuesday, the 7th day of September, 1976, at the hour of
6:30 p.m., in the Council Chambers of City Hall, 77 Fair Drive, Costa
Mesa, California, is hereby fixed as the time and place for hearing all
persons interested in or objecting to the proposed vacation.
SECTION 3. These proceedings shall be conducted pursuant to the
provisions of Section 8300 at seq. of the Streets and Highways Code of
the State of California.
SECTION 4. The City Manager of the City of Costa Mesa is hereby
directed to cause notices of the said proposed vacation to be conspicu-
ously posted along said strips of land for at least ten (10) days before
the date of said hearing. Said notices shall be posted not more than
three hundred (300) feet apart, but in no event shall less than three
(3) notices be posted.
SECTION 5. This Resolution shall be published once in the Orange
Coast Daily Pilot, a newspaper of general circulation, printed and
published in the City of Costa Mesa, Orange County, California.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 16th day of August, 1976.
