HomeMy WebLinkAbout76-103 - Fixing Amount of Revenue Necessary to Support DepartmentsRESOLUTION NO. 76-103 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA, CALIFORNIA, FIXING THE AMOUNT OF REVENUE FROM PROPERTY TAXES NECESSARY TO SUPPORT ITS DEPARTMENTS FOR THE CURRENT FISCAL YEAR OF 1976-77. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: THAT, WHEREAS, Section 51508 of the Government Code of the State of California requires a City Council which has transferred the duties of the Assessor and Tax Collector to fix by ordinance or resolution the amount of revenue from property taxes necessary to support the depart- ments of the City for the current fiscal year and to pay the indebtedness of the City or any portion of the district of the City; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa has hereto- fore, by ordinance, transferred the duties of the Assessor and Tax Collector to the County of Orange; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the amount of revenue from property taxes necessary to support the departments of the City of Costa Mesa for the current fiscal year of 1976-77 is $4,503,600.00. The amount of revenue required from the Basic Area is $4,329,988.00; from Area "A" is $173,612.00. PASSED AND ADOPTED this 16th day of August, 1976.
