A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
COSTA MESA, CALIFORNIA, ADOPTING PORTIONS OF
GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT GP -75-3A, AMENDING THE
GENERAL PLAN 1990, BEING A MASTER PLAN FOR THE
CITY OF COSTA MESA.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS
L FOLLOWS:
THAT, WHEREAS, a plan of zoning for the City of Costa Mesa, known
as General Plan 1990, as amended, was adopted by the City Council of the
City of Costa Mesa by Resolution No. 71-27 on April 5, 1971; and
WHEREAS, General Plan Amendment GP -75-3A concerns numerous parcels
of land as set forth in those certain documents entitled "Westside
Community Plan, General Plan Review, Park District One", dated October,
1975, and "Westside Community Plan Recommendations, Land Use Element",
dated February, 1976, incorporated herein by reference, treating such
parcels in groupings or areas for individualized review and action; and
WHEREAS, the Costa Mesa Planning Commission has held public
hearings on same and made its recommendations to the City Council by
Resolution No. PC -76-04, referring to such groupings or areas as set
forth in said "Westside Community Plan Recommendations, Land Use Ele-
ment", dated February, 1976; and
WHEREAS, public hearings were held before this Council on June 21,
1976, in accordance with Section 65355 of the California Government
Code, all persons having been given the opportunity to be heard both for
and against said Amendment GP -75-3A, and Council did act on portions of
the whole of said Amendment by adoption of Resolution No. 76-77; and
WHEREAS, public hearings were held before this Council on
August 30, 1976, in accordance with the aforementioned California
Government Code Section, all persons having been given the opportunity
to be heard both for and against certain portions of said Amendment GP -
75 -3A; and
WHEREAS, this Council deems it to be in the best interests of the
public health, safety, and welfare that certain portions of said Amend-
ment GP -75-3A be adopted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Costa Mesa that General Plan 1990 be, and is hereby amended by the
adoption of portions of General Plan Amendment GP -75-3A, as follows:
CASE A5: 985 Victoria Street - that said land area's General
Plan designation of Law Density Residential be amended
to High Density Residential.
CASE A6: 989 Victoria Street - that said land area's General
Plan designation of Low Density Residential be amended
to High Density Residential.
CASE B2: 902 West 18th Street - that said land area's General
Plan designation of High Density Residential be amended
to Light Industry.
CASE B6: 1846 Monrovia Avenue; 805 to 898 Town Street; and 1845
Placentia Avenue - that said land area's General Plan
designation of High Density Residential be amended to
Low Density Residential.
CASE Cl: 1912, 1915, 1916, and 1919 Wallace Avenue - that said
land area's General Plan designation of General Commer-
cial be amended to High Density Residential.
CASE C2: 1932 to 2130 Pomona Avenue; 643 to 697 Victoria Street;
and 642 to 696 Hamilton Street - that said land area's
General Plan designation of Low Density Residential be
amended to Medium Density Residential.
CASE C3: 579 to 619 Bay Street; 581 to 588 Yorkshire Street;
2018 to 2046 Anaheim Avenue; 2017 to 2053 Maple Avenue;
and 2046 and 2054 Meyer Place - that said land area's
General Plan designation of High Density Residential be
amended to Low Density Residential.
CASE C4: 562 and 570 West 19th Street; 1917 and 1919 Maple Avenue;
1912, 1914, and 1920 Anaheim Avenue - that said land
area's General Plan designation of Commercial Center be
amended to High Density Residential.
CASE C5: 525 Victoria Street - that said land area's General Plan
designation of Medium Density Residential be amended to
High Density Residential.
CASE C7: 1925 to 1951 Harbor Boulevard - that said land area's
General Plan designation of Commercial Center be amended
to General Commercial.
CASE C9: Ford Road east of Harbor Boulevard (1970 Harbor Boulevard)
- that said land area's General Plan designation of High
Density Residential be amended to General Commercial.
CASE C10: 1973 Newport Boulevard - that said land area's General
Plan designation of High Density Residential be amended
to General Commercial.
CASE D1: 677 to 697 Darrell Street; 679 to 695 Joann Street; and
2252 to 2284 Pomona Avenue - that said land area's General
Plan designation of Low Density Residential be amended to
Medium Density Residential.
CASE D4: 530 to 553 Wilson Street - that said land area's General
Plan designation of Medium Density Residential be amended
to High Density Residential.
CASE E1: 1110 Victoria Street - that said land area's General Plan
designation of Medium Density Residentai be amended to
High Density Residential.
CASE E2: 2151 and 2155 Canyon Drive; and 1100 Victoria Street -
that said land area's General Plan designation of Medium
Density Residential be amended to High Density Residential.
CASE E3: 1015 to 1021 American Place; 2151 to 2217 American Avenue;
2206 to 2247 State Street; and 1016 to 1022 Victoria
Street - that said land area's General Plan designation of
Low Density Residential be amended to Medium Density
Residential.
CASE E4: 1130 Victoria Street - that said land area's General Plan
designation of Low Density Residential be amended to
Medium Density Residential.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 30th day of August, 1976.
