HomeMy WebLinkAbout77-76 - Intention to Order Vacation of Londonderry Street and Cork Lane':'30 RESOLUTION NO. 77-76 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA, CALIFORNIA, DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO ORDER THE VACATION OF A PORTION OF LONDON- DERRY STREET AND CORK LANE, IN TRACT 4356. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Costa Mesa does hereby declare its intention to vacate portions of Londonderry Street and Cork Lane, described as follows: A strip of land, 5.00 feet in width, being a portion of London- derry Street and Cork Lane, as shown on a map of Tract No. 4356, recorded in Book 168, Pages 34-36 of Miscellaneous Maps, records of Orange County, California, the most southerly, southwesterly, and westerly line of which is described as follows: BEGINNING at the northwest corner of Lot 71 of said Tract No. 4356; thence north 89°24'15" east along the north line of said Lot 71 a distance of 85.00 feet to the beginning of a tangent curve, concave southwesterly, having a radius of 15.00 feet; thence southeasterly along said curve through a central angle of 90°00'00" an arc distance of 23.56 feet; thence south 0°35'45" east a distance of 50.00 feet to the southeast corner of said Lot 71. RESERVING THEREFROM an easement for public utility purposes over, under, across, and through the most northerly, northeasterly, and easterly 3.00 feet of the above described 5.00 -foot wide strip of land. SECTION 2. Monday, the 18th day of July, 1977, at the hour of 6:30 p.m., in the Council Chambers of City Hall, 77 Fair Drive, Costa Mesa, California, is hereby fixed as the time and place for hearing all per- sons interested in or objecting to the proposed vacation. SECTION 3. These proceedings shall be conducted pursuant to provisions of Section 8300 et seq. of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California. SECTION 4. The City Manager of the City of Costa Mesa is hereby directed to cause notices of the said proposed vacations to be con- spicuously posted along said strips of land for at least ten (10) days before the date of said hearing. Said notices shall be posted not more than three hundred (300) feet apart, but in no even shall less than three (3) notices be posted. SECTION 5. This Resolution shall be published once in the ORANGE COAST DAILY PILOT, a newspaper of general circulation printed and published in the City of Costa Mesa, Orange County, California.
