A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
COSTA MESA, CALIFORNIA, DECLARING ITS INTENTION
TO ORDER THE VACATION OF A PORTION OF BEAR STREET
BETWEEN SOUTH COAST DRIVE AND THE SAN DIEGO FREE-
WAY.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Costa Mesa does hereby
declare its intention to vacate a portion of Bear Street described as
follows:
BEGINNING at the southeasterly corner of Parcel "A" of that certain
easement conveyed to the City of Costa Mesa by deed recorded May
11, 1973, in Book 10692, Page 402 of Official Records of Orange
County, California; thence north 86°45'35" west along the southerly
line of said Parcel "A" a distance of 20.01 feet to the south-
westerly corner thereof; thence north 4°33'30" west along the
westerly line of said Parcel "A" a distance of 689.96 feet to an
angle point; thence south 1°41'30" west a distance of 400.00 feet
to a point on the easterly line of said Parcel "A"; thence south
4°33'30" west along said easterly line a distance of 290.00 feet to
the POINT OF BEGINNING.
RESERVING therefrom an easement for all existing underground and
overhead public utilities together with the right of ingress and
egress for the purpose of maintaining, replacing, and upgrading
said existing public utilities.
SECTION 2. Monday, the 1st day of August, 1977, at the hour of
6:30 p.m., in the Council Chambers of City Hall, 77 Fair Drive, Costa
Mesa, California, is hereby fixed as the time and place for hearing all
persons interested in or objecting to the proposed vacation.
SECTION 3. These proceedings shall be conducted pursuant to the
provisions of Section 8300 et seq. of the Streets and Highways Code of
the State of California.
SECTION 4. The City Manager of the City of Costa Mesa is hereby
directed to cause notices of the said proposed vacation to be conspicu-
ously posted along said strips of land for at least ten (10) days before
the date of said hearing. Said notices shall be posted not more than
three hundred (300) feet apart, but in no event shall less than three
(3) notices be posted.
SECTION 5. This Resolution shall be published once in the ORANGE
COAST DAILY PILOT, a newspaper of general circulation printed and pub-
lished in the City of Costa Mesa, Orange County, California.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 5th day of July, 1977.

by the said City Council at a regular meeting thereof, held on the 5th
day of July, 1977.
